Reflexology
Foot Reflexology is a safe, gentle, relaxing complementary therapy which applies pressure to the feet using fingers or thumbs which can aid the body’s natural healing process, increase a sense of wellbeing, thus encouraging a natural balance to mind and body which people of all ages can benefit from.
The theory of reflexology is that the organs, glands, nerves and other parts of the body are connected to reflex points which are located on the soles, tops and sides of the feet. By using a massage and compression technique with thumbs, fingers and hands, these areas are stimulated which can then create a direct response in a specific body area, for example, release of tension, stimulation of blood circulation.
With ever increasing levels of stress in everyday life, it is important for people to take more responsibility for their own healthcare needs. Reflexology may be one of the ways to mitigate the stresses of modern life
